Seahorse Challenge

Anyone know the elevation on that bike course and run course yesterday??

damm…it was hot yesterday…

my 625X measured TOTAL elevation…=p

How was the race? would have loved to race but I was sick as a dog. I watched History Channel documentaries on D-Day and cleaned the house.

Overall : Race was very decent IMO…

Good: Lots of volunteers, course was well-marked, lots of food at the end etc. Lotsa cute chicks racing!!! And lots of cool bikes

Bad: A few MAJOR potholes on the bike course! Someone had a tire blowout. Crazy run course…stairs!!! And they ran out of cups at a run aid station.

Someone was wearing a Bikesport race-suit…

Bloody hot, but I was happy to put up a PB over my time last year by eleven minutes.

If anyone happened to pick up a size 9 Orca Sleeveless Speedsuit by mistake, please PM me. My buddy was extremely grumpy to find his suit missing after the race.

I read at 3d’s website there were a couple of wetsuits left in transition. You might want to email them a description.

Good luck…

Call or email 3D about the wetsuit. On the results page they mention that two were left behind.

Seahorse was my first tri ever and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Besides being crazy hot I thought the race was very well run and organized. The venue was beautiful–especially the lake for the swim. I did the sprint distance and to my surprise placed 3rd in my AG! STers have been a great source of information and inspiration and I can’t wait to start training for my next event. I’m hooked!

I am so sorry I missed this race. Hot or not seahorse is a nice course. My finaces had better improve pronto or I will be missing a lot of races this year.

He gave them a full description and his email yesterday. In fact, the announcer dude was talking about it over the PA system after we discovered it was missing. I just hope that the guy did it by mistake. (We know what he looks like and he seemed like a perfectly nice guy. I just hope it was an honest mistake.)

MY FIRST TRI TOO!!

I did the Oly…you wunt happen to know the elevation of the run and bike course…do you???

Race was fun. Although the run course was about 1/2 trail, I think it was good: more shade. Sure is disheartening when you come into T2 (for the Oly) and 95% of the bikes have already been racked! (Sprint & Du’s were already done with the bike course) Food was good, too. What was with the pink swim caps?

No clue what the elevations were. That little hill right after T1/T2 was a bugger though. Anyone else hear the big ol’ bullfrogs in the swamp? Kinda cool.

first time i’ve seen/heard myself referred to as an announcer dude.

has an unusual ring to it.

hope you had a good race.

Thanks, Jim! I had a great race!
