i love the name dockimpoy … i know that it’s supposed to be doc kim poy, but when i see it, i always divide it in half - which amuses me … one day tibbs replied to one of dockimpoys posts with “mr impoy…” PERFECT!! although it kind of frightened me that we were thinking about it the same way!
my handle is from an ex girlfriend who had 3 tom’s in her cell phonebook … the other two were ex’s, she would tend to answer her phone “hello tomannapolis” … thought that was pretty amusing until she switched me to an “ex” and tom-somewhere-else to a “current” …

An incredibly good looking face with a tanned muscular body, a witty personality with a flair of bad boy attitude.

I always thought “Monk” was a good name actually. Short, sweet, funny sounding yet serious connotation, and suggests the need to train like a monk. But you’ll probably tell us it’s short for “monkey” or something like that.
i would certainly like to know what’s behind the sig:
“let g be a group.”
one night, late, we had some really great (tho siilly) posts, including the memorable mp3 or whatever of that guy whistling about 4 notes and asking the rest of the forum to tell him what song that was running around in his head.
part of that night was this phrase that came up, “let g be a group,” penned in the spirit of “don’t tread on me,” and jeez that just struck a funny bone, because it has no apparent decipherable meaning.
Androgynotopia was a weird one. Haven’t seen a post from him in awhile. Anonymous posters could die and nobody else here would ever know. They just kind of …stop posting.

I think “let g be a group” is math humor.
I don’t know just based on some of these screen names, I get these impressions of what the person looks like - either no, it’s probably furtherst thing from the truth. I can see last_tri_83 sitting around with all his old Bud Light Triathlon awards, Burt’sH2OBottle, some guy with a water bottle belt always attached to his hip, Monk…in his brown robe.
OK - so do you look like Dave Grohl?
No…but I could kick his ass in drum competition :-)!
