Scott Plasma and Profile Design raise

I am looking for some way to raise the armrests on my Profile Svet aerobar or raise the whole cockpit.

I see profile design sells risers, but haven’t used them before.

Has anyone else managed to raise their cockpit? I don’t see any way to use spacers to raise the bars.

Thoughts?

raise pads and extensions, not bars

faster and more aesthetically pleasing

edit: perhaps Zipp Vuka Alumina clamps, spacers, pad holders, etc. for your base bar

Profile makes a riser kit for the T series aero bars with the J-4 brackets that will bring them up 20mm. There is a new mount coming soon that will take it up to 35mm

Like the others guys said, you can get spacers for PD now, and they raise both pads & extensions (the smart way).

I went with a Vuka Alumina clip above my Svet basebar b/c I needed the stack.

You should have plenty of options at your disposal if you do some research.

What armrest / pad system do you have?

The Svet is the bar itself, which you do not want to raise. The risers will, as others have suggested, be added to the pads and extensions to move them up.

Does anybody know if it’s possible to use the Zipp Vuka risers between a PD Svet base-bar and a PD Cobra+2 extension? I need a 70mm rise. Thanks

Are you looking for 70mm of extra stack on top of the already 60mm stock stack on the J2 bracket, so a total of 130mm of stack from center of basebar to top of pad?

You can stack our risers (5mm and 10mm) up to 35mm. We have a 35mm Kit in development but we do have all the parts available to purchase separately through your local dealer until the kit is ready. With the Profile Design T2 that will give you a total stack of 95mm above the center of the basebar. Above that height you are looking at possible failure if you hit any big bumps or potholes while riding. I would also have to question the bike size. Zipp risers are 10mm, 25mm, or 50mm, and are not stackable (according to their website). Also I dont advise using them with our bars as they havent been tested with our system.

Tryin - The risers you saw raise the brackets and extensions together and will work on the system you have.

Thanks, JD.
Yes, I’m looking for an additional 70mm. I’m in Santa Monica, so if those 35mms in development are available for trial I’d like to come pick them up and stack them and get my 70mm. I will, of course, sign any waivers.

And also yes, the BMC TM01 in medium-short I bought less than two months ago is to small for me, this according to the Retul fitting session I did on Tuesday. Funny, because I was having the time of my life with my new TT. Oh, well, watts numbers don’t lie.
So, I’m trying to create a “synthetic” large frame using the risers (and the saddle post).

I sent you a PM about the risers.

Have you set the stem to the highest setting? I have a link to where you can find the video showing how their stem system works. I’m not sure how much extra stack that will get you but it will definitely help.

Hi. I saw your post regarding the bar extensions and pads of your scott plasma 3. I have the same issue, I would like to raise them, it came with svet base bar and profile extensions and pads. Did the zipp alumina riser fit on the profile base? Does the zipp riser stack correctly with the profile spacers and align with the bolts. I saw that profile design sells extension kits but I would like to try the zipp alumina option because it would imply less parts and there are more size options.

Could you share some pictures of your setup? my email is emunoz2@yahoo.com

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Hi… Where you able to use the zipp alumina riser with the profile design bar and cobra extensions? Could you share some pictures? My email is emunoz2@yahoo.com

Thanks!!!

I am using the zip alumina clip system with the svnt base bar as well. I have the plasma rise stem and the 50mm riser from zipp. Check out my profile pic to see my bike setup.
