Who’s heading to Steamboat Springs in 17 days?! My main reason for starting this thread is asking about recommended set up. I’m racing the Sunday Circuit, 3 37miles loops reaching 117 total miles and 8-9k of elevation gain. 3 big climbs and 3 big descents.

Let me know what think on the below!

  1. Handlebars - prioritizing stability going down hill
  2. Tires - why wouldn’t I run 47 pathfinders?
  3. Gearing - subjective, but was sticking with 46,10x50
  4. Hydration/Nutrition - I have no idea here. There’s an aid every lap so about every 2hrs but it’s Ironman style. Hydropack? Standard bottles? Seriously questioning everything here
