Saucony Triumph Clones

What shoes of other brands are most similar to the Saucony Triumph line? I’m looking into trying out other brands that have a similar feel, cushion, etc. to the Saucony Triumph line.

IMO the Triumph has a unique feel that I’ve not found in other brands.

If possible head into a store and try that vs the cumulus at the same time.

Which Triumph are you comparing to? The new Triumph 22 is reportedly much different than the Triumph 20/21. I’m a fan of the 20/21; it’s a versatile shoe with a high stack height / max cushion but with the firmer PWRRUN+ foam. I’ve used it for everything, from easy days to long runs to race pace efforts (half and full marathon, 6-7min/mile pace). The only thing I don’t use it for it threshold or faster efforts (5k/10k or >6min/mile pace). A shoe that I use in a similar way is the Asics Superblast. It has a different feel to it (wider base, more stack height, slightly firmer feel) but I find it to be versatile in the same way.

The Triumph 22 is a return to the Triumph’s traditional role as a max cushion cruiser. It now has PWRRUN PB foam and reviewers find it be less versatile (i.e. not great at faster paces). For this reason I haven’t tried it yet. As a triathlete that only runs 3-4 times/week, a versatile shoe is what I look for.

Bring back the 19s.

I would look at the Novablast and Superblast. As mentioned these are parallels to the Triumph 20/21; the 22 is a different shoe.

I agree. The 21s were my first pair of Triumphs and are currently my favorite non plated shoe.
The 22s are way too soft and cushy for me. I sent them back.
