Saris vertical bike storage

Anybody used the Saris Bike Trac product for vertical bike storage? I’d appreciate any thoughts. I’m currently debating between this Saris option and the Rubbermaid Fast Track system…

The Saris seems overpriced, but I guess it depends on where you’re storing it. If you don’t care about looks then go buy a heavy duty hook and put that into a wall stud and you’re done for a couple of bucks.
Delta makes a similar type system for $20 that also has a seperate tray to nest the rear wheel in. http://www.deltacycle.com/Bike_Storage

A big rubber coated steel hook with screw thread, into a wall stud or even a scrap 2x4 if the stud isn’t coveniently located, more than does the trick. The Saris solves a non-existent problem! The standard hook idea cost’s about 1% of the Saris and available anywhere

Save cash and hassle and get a hook I say.

I have the FastTrack system in my garage and love it. You can make adjustments on the fly and move your bikes around and all the accessories make organizing your bike crap super easy. I have 3 bikes hanging from my FastTrack, a few extra hooks for workout equipment and a basket for helmets, tires, etc. Looks great.
