Santa Cruz carbon Blur vs Pivot Mach 5 vs Ibis Mojo

Still obsessing over a new mtn bike. Looks like I sold the bike I needed to sell to make room in the garage, so a new ride appears imminent. These 3 are the finalists. I’ve ridden, and like, all of them. But not sure which is the “best”, whatever best means. They are all close enough in price for that not to be a factor.

I’m a trail rider – coming off a steel Steelman hardtail, that I’m keeping – who skews more towards cross country than “all mountain” (and I’m not entirely sure what that term means).

Thank you for your opinions, and good day.

I have the original Blur, and let me say this…I will never sell it or let anyone else ride it…it is all mine!

I broke a few Mojos…Pivots are effing sweet.
.

I would throw the Cannondale Flash Carbon 1 in there too, it’s a sweet ride for XC and lighter than all of the bikes you listed by at least 3 pounds. Not FS, but freakishly fast nonetheless.

I have one on order right now.

Blur XC by a country mile.
I have a steel mojo hardtail and it is the balls as far as hardtails, but the blur with 120 up front is about as close to perfection as I can imagine. The full squish mojo is wiggly IMO, haven’t ridden the pivot.

I’ve heard/read this from a few sources. can you clarify? not sure what it means exactly.

My uncle is an x-pro mt. biker. He still can ride like the wind thu! He just bought the xc carbon and he FREAKING loves it! So if i was in the market for a mt. bike i would not even think twice about getting the xc carbon.

I love my carbon Blur

If I didn’t already own the best (Ellsworth Truth), I’d settle for the Blur.

Iin all seriousness, you can’t go wrong with Santa Cruz. GREAT bikes and great customer service.
