Im staying here and I need a good pool to keep my fitness up, ill appreciate any help, I noticed that Mr luther king Pool got good reviews, im used to a pool with 12 lanes, and not much traffic, but i imaigine this city is really busy when it comes to the pool, Please let me know what the best pool to go to. 12 lane pool? Good luck on that. USF,s pool is the only decent sized pool but don’t know how it works if you aren’t a student or live in the neighborhood. I hear the North Beach pool is decent now that they’ve redone it but limited hrs. I belong to the Embaracadero YMCA which is fine but can be crowded and the pool may actually be closed for annual maintenance. Best place to swim is actuallt Burlingame High, down past the airport. 25x50m pool outdoors.
UCSF Bakar down near the ball park has 2 pools (indoor and outdoor) and it’s not packed often, and I think you can just pay a one off fee to go. SportsClubLA downtown has a saline pool which is nice, but the gym is kind of a scene. If you go during ‘off’ hours you wont have to wait…very narrow lanes but it’s a nice pool to swim in.

Want to try something different and fun? The Rossi and Sava and Hamilton pools
are all 33y in length! Hybrid between short and long course. Check the link above
to see pool times. Note: all these pools have very warm water. If you like cooler
water, do as someone else said, head to Aquatic Park.
