SAM LONG IS COMING TO THE SLOWTWITCH PODCAST! WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW?

Spreading lies

To be fair. They changed all sorts of rules when we had to do the reconnect… so while we mess up things for sure… this one. Not so much

What is he willing to so to improve his swim?
Join a hs/college team?
Hire and fly out private swim coach for monthly sessions/a longer focused block?
Fly hilmself to e.g. cali to swim train for a big block?

Been said by others but I’m voting for contract details and pool swim times from last year to this year

Is @tfoleyracing 's assessment that a win at Eagleman will be worth 3x as much as the bare race prize money with sponsor/partner bonuses?
What lessons were identified from your last full distance triathlon (SBR) at Frankfurt? And what have you (or do you intend to) change for Nice to learn them?

any relation to sam short?

Best ask him if he has read the Dan Plews low carb thread and can give any input given their long relationship working together.

how much was the bill for the hole in the wall, when he slammed the door in samorin , and what did he learn from that incident ? I would say It was a pivotal moment for him to think who does he want to be.

Given you finish typically 25 minutes down in every full distance he races, why not just concentrate on 100km / 70.3 miles? Doe he think Nice as a venue will favour him more than Kona? If the ā€œnarrow roadsā€ of the Presidio are not his cup of tea (blaming the opportunity for those beastly swimmers to draft (at >20m)), it will be interesting to hear an assessment of the Alpes Maritime’s boulevardes.

How does he assess his aero ?

Don’t think I haven’t tried to get a message to him through Zoot he should aero test with @desert_dude

Rico is pushing 375ish watts
Magnus 370
Lionel is in the mid 360s
God knows what MVR and others are doing

ā€œStrongest legs in triathlonā€ may need to be optimized

Where would he be and what would he be doing if he wasn’t a pro triathlete? Looking into the crystal ball, what would he hope for post pro triathlon career? He’s an interesting dude (have met and chatted with him several times) and when I try to picture him doing something else…I’m in awe. Doctor, coach, financial advisor, chef, garbage man…

I always like hearing ā€œa week in the lifeā€ as well. Training, family, stuff not tri related…
