I am 100% with you. I doubt they started an investigation over one email with a bunch of rumors. However, Sam did opened up a lot of questions about the Clinic in Spain. A lot of questionable athletes have been in and out of that facility in the past for many different sports(not just triathlon). Testing negative really means nothing. I think Lance gave us a big lesson about that, but potentially putting down a center that facilitates these acts is kind of like going after a drug lord instead the small street drug dealer or even worse the drug addict.
My last comment for those who personally do not know and interact with these professional athletes on regular basis just be a fan and don’t pretend that you know them because you saw a documentary, heard them on a podcast or even got a picture with them at a race.
Being the Cenit Center is located in Girona, Spain, most athletes have to fly a considerable distance to get there. Why would you fly from another country to see a physiotherapist or to get blood work done?
Chartier does have a post of him running on a treadmill there in July of 2022, just before his breakthrough at the US Open and his positive test for EPO.
Look up the followers of this center on Instagram. Between athletes and coaches, links many of the best in the sport to the center.
I hope ITA investigation brings clarity as to why the center is being discussed by Sam.
