Saddle rail for cervelo / scott plasma etc

Hi, I’ve got a scott plasma 5, and unfortunately the saddle clamp is broken, after 30/40 thousand kilometres.

I contacted the service from scott, and they told me that the only way to get it is to buy the seatpost/saddle rail combo for 400€, which is a LOT. https://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/plasma_tt_45_seatpost-3870

Do you know if there is a way to buy the piece made from a trustworthy manufacturer ? It seems like the following bike have the same piece, however I only find seatpost/saddle combos :

If you’re sure it’s the same as cervelo, they make the seat post head for sp18-20 (bike inn has it in stock… But not sure if it’s really the exact same)

Yes, those are ritchey clamps, so should be able to just buy that clamp and contacting Ritchey directly is pretty easy, too. If you have trouble, reply here and I can ping folks over there.

No, its the bottom part, that attaches to the top part you mentioned to the actual seatpost, I drew in blue the part that failed (both front and rear of the rail, it actually doesn’t move but seems unsafe as f**k :

looks like the above part is made by ritchey, but not the one that failed

My old Plasma 5 is sitting in storage at the moment.
Can you clarify which exact part has failed? Is it the actual seat post section which the bolts mount into, or the receivers which are in the tube in the seat post, or is it the actual carbon part of the seat post where that tube is etc??
The rails etc are all easy to replace, but if the seat post itself if damaged and has failed then that is different and more expensive. Can you post pics of your actual failure?

have you ever bought from them?
I have this bike and spare parts are a nightmare.
I broke my handlebar and got lucky and found one on eBay.
Since then I’ve been sourcing other spare parts. This place has great prices.

Concerning the clamp form eBay, you don have a guarantee and it’s only $40. Worth a shot.

I bought the ebay thing because I have a race soon, but I don’t trust it long term given some comments regarding pieces failing after one ride…

Just to clarify, the failure is the crack that you can see in the metal part that sits onto the carbon seat post?
If so, I thought these were a generic seat clamp system and it has nothing to do with the actual seat post itself? I have a Cervélo P5D and P3X and I am sure the clamp system is the same, in which case it should be easily available and not that expensive.

Thats exactly the idea of the topic : It has nothing to do with the seatpost in itself, the clamp is the same for all the bikes I mentioned in the first post, it should be cheap, but I can’t find it anywhere !

I have used these people before to get parts for my Cervélo to Australia and the service has been fantastic and it looks like they have the part in stock.

I have. Bought a saddle; used but as described and shown in the photos. No issues.

Of cervelo makes the part, you can contact cervelo customer support they will tell you the part number, and from there, you can go to a dealer and get them to order that cervelo part
