While searching through John Cobb’s new website: www.cobbcycling.com, I watched the video for installation instructions of their saddle.
In the video the fore/aft position was determined/related to the measurement of your forearm, measured finger tip to bottom. The position of the saddle would be equal to the measurement measured from the nose of the saddle to the centerline of the arm pads.
Seat height was calculated based upon inseam length. For the subject (female) with an inseam length of 28.50" the recommended seat height was 61.50cm, measured from midpoint of top of the saddle to center of bottom bracket.
Can this method be followed for all saddles as a starting point?
