Sad Tri News: Epix Gear Closing Shop

I’m a past customer of Epix Gear & thought they made some comfortable clothing lines. Interesting designs, and even custom double-front (modesty panels) tri shorts/suit. Good prices and easy to work with. Just got an email & sadly they are going out of business. In a time when WYNN has overpriced suits as well as others like TRIMTEX being $$ or others like Endura having also gone out of the custom biz…sad to see another one go. Existing companies would love it I’m sure, but finding a custom 1-pc ordered suit at a good quality & price is difficult.

If anyone has some reasonable custom suit places they’ve worked with–please suggest. Most are 5+ minimum order & I only have one body to wear one suit. 5 or more aren’t necessary.

Wyn isn’t overpriced. Thats the quality difference talking (plus the cost of doing a one-off).

It’s expensive — but not overpriced.

Dunno about that. I’ve had custom suits from Endura top of the line (the line that Lucy Charles used–although her sleeves were slightly thinner just for her) at half the price of a Wynn (the equal being Wynn’s non-custom $699 suit to compare apples to apples best we can for quality)… I beg to differ on “overpriced”–but you do you. Thanks for your input.

I had a custom Fusion suit made, 1 off and the quality and fit exceeded my expectations. I haven’t raced in it yet, but did a ride and a run and am really looking forward to my next race. Rasmus was very easy to work with and the digital representation of logo was spot on. Very good consumer experience.

Jakroo make decent quality custom kits and allow for single suit purchases.

Wynn’s top of the line non-custom is $699…they have plenty of suits under 400. But holy shit balls when did tri suits of any kind get over 400?
