S-Works Evade 3

Is it worth the $300 upgrade from a Rudy Project Volantis to S-Works Evade 3?

I also have a Smith Jetstream TT helmet, but would like a different and more aero road helmet.

Given that the performance of a helmet greatly depends on the rider’s position, I have my doubts that you will receive a precise response. For one person, helmet A may be faster than helmet B, and the opposite may be true for another. That response can only be obtained through wind tunnel testing.

“Depends” can be said to any question on this forum, but it isn’t a great one. There are still general trends (i.e. Aerohead, Evade 2)

Before you stress too much over the decision, I’d definitely try the Evade 3 on. I just returned one because the fit (of a S) was so awkward for me - too shallow, but also too wide.

100%.

I love the Evade helmets. I’ve had a v1 now a v2… I tried a v3 on and noted the change in sizing. I’ve gone from a L to a M. They’ve also done away with the magnetic clip here in AU that I love on the v2 (this could be a regional thing… our helmet laws/regulations are tough here).

Really happy with my Kask Utopia, light and better ventilated from testing reviews.

Mag clip gone here as well. I have one, I like the fit of the V2 better, but I’ve had it quite a long time and got the V3 on a deal.
