It’s becoming increasingly difficult to separate parody from reality.
What’s going on with him legally, weren’t there some rape allegations?
And now he’s a right-wing Christian influencer?
Google When did Russell Brand turn right wing and there are lots of articles.
I watched some FB reel or TikTok or whatever the other day that referred to him as “Russell ReBrand”. Seemed pretty spot-on.
He realized how much money he could make by “just asking questions” about BS that he knew the millions of morons would lap up.
This is more of the same. Pretty sad, but snake oil salesmen have been around a long time.
Not sure what’s happening with his rape case.
he’s got that manic eloquence where it doesn’t matter what’s being said is nonsense (like Jordan Peterson), it’s kind of hypnotic to watch. That combined with severe narcissism means he’ll do what he can to get eyeballs,
he’s been interviewed by police and the 'investigation is continuing"
Russel is my first overall pick for celebrity most likely to lead a cult. If he weren’t famous he’d be heading one already.
I think he is bipolar and unmedicated.
He probably wouldn’t be able to hold a steady job, maintain ordinary relationships, avoid bankruptcy, etc - without a retinue of handlers and personal managers.
Why anyone is interested is the ravings of a unmedicated mentally ill person is beyond me.
The parks and allies in most cities are full of guys just like Brand.
Although apparently not so looney that he doesn’t recognize where to head to find an audience more likely to not care so much about the rape allegations.
Having dealt with a couple unmedicated bipolar people, I agree.
kiki “he’s got that manic eloquence where it doesn’t matter what’s being said is nonsense (like Jordan Peterson), it’s kind of hypnotic to watch” Interesting take. All I see is the ramblings of struggling mind. It would be unpleasant to experience the depressive time that follows the “manic eloquence”.
i haven’t seen him in a while, it’s probably gotten worse.
his stand-up show was compelling for a short while (netflix I think), but then too too much
