Running trails in Palm Springs

Hi,

I’m visiting Palm Springs for the first time next month on a getaway with my better half and would love any good recommendations for running trails. On the Google I found some references to the Tram Road (is there a non-asphalt route that parallels?) Any other secret spots in the 5-10 mile range?

Thanks in advance.

I can’t tell you exactly how to get to the start, for sure someone here can, but a run they call the bump and grind is pretty cool. That is if you love hills and dirt trails. It is a popular weekend run/hiking spot, and you can go as far as you want on loops or out and backs… There used to be some good flat desert runs, but most of what I knew have been paved and built over…

Thanks for this idea. Led me to the following site:

Ran the South Lykken trail and the Henderson. Henderson is great for a morning run, shady side of the valley. Good times.

I loved the Bump n Grind when i was there. off of HWY 111 at Tarbell Realty in Rancho M. or PD.

I heard they closed it though…BUt i haven’t been there in 4 years.

If you want super flat, the bike path along “river,” is nice.

The trails I’ve hiked are a lot steeper than I’d run.
