Running tracks near Lakewood CO

Hi all,

I just moved to Lakewood Colorado and am looking for nearby running tracks. Does anybody have any recommendations? Any ideas if there are any indoor tracks that are available to the public or are used by a local track team?

Jeffco track on Kipling just south of 6th Ave. Nicest track in the area. Open to the public during the week, but locked or in use on the weekends. Not aware of any indoor tracks in the area, but the snow melts on Jeffco quickly (or we shovel it).

Thanks. I will check that out. Does it only have specific hours for the public during the week? Or is it just open until dark?

Not sure what time it opens. I can ask a friend and PM you. I am a daylight runner, so it’s always open when I go (9:00 am).

If you could ask and find out, that would be great. If not, I will try to stop by in the evening some time this week and see if it is open.

It might be a bit South of you but check the foothills park & recreation district. The district boundaries are a bit weird:

I used to go to The Ridge to swim and for the indoor track occasionally.
Back about 5 years ago (when I lived in Littleton) it was a bargain (low price and nice facility)

For outdoor track, I used Summit Ridge Middle School track @ W. Coal Mine & Simms. - Might not be usable during school hours, but in the evening it was always open.
