I have used gators when hiking to help keep my boots dry when going through snow, mud, etc. It seems like there should be something out there to keep your feet dry when you run in the rain. Has anybody seen such a product?
Running shoes??
check out www.zombierunner.com they have all sorts of stuff for crazy ultrarunners.
x2 on zombierunner. I just bought a pair of the running funky brand gaiters this week, but have yet to try them out.
Try the Innov-8 socks with the built-in gaiter. Also available from zombierunner.
Outdoor Research makes some low-height gators that are really good for trail running shoes. I use them with my snowshoes.
thanks for the link…I really should wear some gaitors for trail running at times.
Try www.joetrailman.com. I love mine and my ultrarunner friends swear by them. These eliminate the strap under the shoe and allow for easy shoe changes without removing the gator!
This place is a little whacky, but at the ultra trail run I volunteered at, a number of people had them:

Ditto those (I don’t have any yet but I am going to order some - saw a bunch of people wearing them at Leadville)!
I don’t think they will keep your feet dry tho - they are mostly to keep rocks out of your shoes.
