After trying on god knows how many shoes over the past month (coming from various early pureflows), with various stock/aftermarket/custom insoles, I’ve now been running in the New Balance Beacon shoes for a few weeks, stock insoles with just a small metatarsal pad on top. Love them so far, padded yet very light.
But, I find the insole is sliding backwards while running. Again, its the stock insole, so sizing should be correct. two sided tape / velcro tape??
Two sided tape works great, a very thin dab of crazy glue also works, just make sure it’s thin.
Thanks will try the carpet tape. I put a little bit of velcro tape in last night just because I already had some in the bike tool box.
Oe interesting thing I noticed is when I pulled the insole out, it is stamped ‘12-13’, and the insole does appear to be on the long side for my 12’s, as even when pushed all the way in, the heel is already riding up the back a little bit. So maybe some trimming needed…
