He is facing 6 weeks recovery and they are looking if surgical fixation is an option to reduce that term

Thread title should be “Rudy von Burg hit by car”. But yes very unfortunate for him. If he ever has good luck I think he’ll be one too watch out for. I hope he can still get some form together for Nice.

Also, he should 100% get the surgery. He can be training again in 2 weeks vs 6-8.

I know it is in pink, but did you know he lives in that area and was about to race there in a few days as well.

He was racing so well after getting over his stomach bugs, and his win at Texas was pretty epic with 3 of them pushing each other to within 20 seconds of each other at the finish. I was so looking forward to seeing him race Nice.

Wishing a speedy recovery and not too much down time.

Bummer. One of the most exciting long course guys, especially that he entered the 140.6 scene quite recently.

Elliot Bach and RVB are friends and they used to train together. Can’t believe this happened to both of them.
I feel terrible for them. They’ve been doing pretty well recently. I wish fast recovery!!

Gutted for RVB. He was so stoked to be racing the IM world champs near where he grew up.
