Just got mine today and right away seems like it will be a lot more airy/comfortable than the wing though itâs definitely an âinterestingâ fashion choice. Not hard to picture the strange looks Iâm going to get at red lights. My wife was on the floor laughing when I tried it on! I was a little surprised, however, there doesnât seem to be way to store the visor up on the helmet like you can with the wing. Perhaps due to it being considered a time trial helmet vs a tri helmet? Anyhow, something to be aware of.
Thanks for the added info MCM.
Would glasses or curved e.g. rydon sunglasses fit under the visor?
Any plans to make a small version? I have a small head (S/M/L) and starting sizing at 55cm is more like a choice of (M/L).
Saw this pic on another group, so it does look possible, although Iâm told you donât really want to take the visor off and due to itâs size it shouldnât get in the way of taking the helmet on or off.
I can tell you that I just tried some cycling sunglasses under the visor and there was plenty of space, so i think thereâs good odds youâll have space for glasses.
Regarding a smaller smaller size, I havenât heard of that being in the pipeline.
the visor is upside down in that pic and the magnets engaged are top of the visor. It is kind of stable in that position but you wouldnât want to have it there at your bike rack in a race. Might be useful for wiping sweat away on the bike, but a strong wind or big bump might knock it lose.
Mine arrived too, I look ridiculous and decided to not sell my Aerohead just in case the name calling is too much. On the plus side itâs very comfortable, seems to have great airflow, and the visor doesnât scrape my cheekbones or ears like the Aerohead.
Given the rest of what we wear, this is the ridiculous item? Mine arrived today, but Iâm out of town so canât comment yet. As for comfortable, airflow and no scraping - seems like a no-brainer its worth the look⌠Again, look at the rest of what we wearâŚ
Iâm in Aus and mine came the other day too. The buckle is something to get used to not sure if I like that.
But yeh- itâs huge. From an aero standpoint I can see how it is supposed to work - I have broad shoulders and the helmet sits way out to the sides to direct airflow around them.
Iâm fomop, say top 15 bike split on a half ironman , I guess does that warrant spaceballs? I say yesâŚ. Yes it does
