Roval = Fast?

Hey ya’ll, Loveless Babies signing in with a MAJOR TdF infraction to report. As seen in the photo below, Tom Boonen is planning to ride his new Specialized Transition tomorrow with a ROVAL Star hub front wheel!!! Doesn’t he know that the denizens of Slowtwitch have passed judgement on this wheel and declared it slow/heavy/ugly and generally not suited for REAL cyclists who want to go really, really, REALLY fast? Alert the media! Stop this travesty before it starts! Slowtwitch ARISE from your slumber and go forth to slay this heretical excuse for a race wheel! Let’s not let this happen on OUR watch!

Remember: All’s it takes for bad wheels to triumph is for good men to sit back and do nothing.

This is Loveless Babies signing off saying, “Goodnight, and may the Zipp wheels be yours”.

No comment on the slowspoke wheel but someone had better put the word out to Specialized that they missed a glearing branding opportunity to write “Specialized” on the chainstay :-).

my gosh…I never realized how over the top they went with logos on that frame.

Isn’t that the new roval ‘deep’ wheel?.

I love Specialized…they are one of the best innovators in the bike industry. ALL HAIL SPECIALIZED!!!

That bike is butt ugly. And I have a special place in my heart for red black and white bikes. I think the guy at Specialized who designed that paint job with those decals has a little man complex.

I get it, the bike is made by Specialized. Sheesh

Jodi

ok, but how is that bike standing up by itself?

is there a little guy behind the disk holding it up?

new carbon kickstand, its the next must have item, only 199.95
.

Is that bike made by Specialized? I hadn’t noticed.

is anyone confused about who makes this one?

Not sure why one or 2 more stickers makes it any more of a “billboard”. it would be foolish for any manufacturer to sponsor a pro team and not make sure their product is identifiable. This is especially true with a “new” bike that is not easily recognizable.

I think there is labeling your product (Cervelo with two) and then there is “LOOK AT ME” attention whoring ala the Specialized with its multiple (5) and massive Specialized labels.

Color me conservative on this one, but sheesh it is over the top. Not saying manufacturers shouldn’t do it, but asthetically it isn’t my preference.

ok, but how is that bike standing up by itself?

Can’t you see that the seat is tethered to the fence in the background by a nearly invisible string?

My eyes hurt looking at that bike.

…AND he has spacers under his stem. Maybe he’s trying to set a new slow record.

Didn’t anyone noticed that the chainstay must have been outsourced by Specialized so they couldn’t place a Specialized logo on there?
