Hi! Im new to the area and have been struggling to find good routes for TT training, mostly fat with not much stops or lights. Im open to drive up to 1hour to start riding. It can be loop or out and back.
Canada Rd is too short, looking for something at least 20 miles.
I’ve used this 21mile route up in Marin County on the TT bike https://www.strava.com/routes/3123758470811167800, about 950’ of climbing. No lights, 2 stop signs, 2 left turns. If you go clockwise, then there are no left turns.
Canada Rd is THE place. I’ve been riding it back and forth throughout the past five years. Long TT ride in the plan? See how many laps you can do.
Otherwise it’s the 1. No stops between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay.
Or just ride TT up the hills and across Skyline.
We do lack the long flat road on which to put your head down and go, but otherwise we have some of the best routes imaginable!

I agree with Yann. Nicasio is definitely your best bet. You could park either in Fairfax and start with the climb over White’s or park at Rancho Nicasio.
In the South Bay I like to ride from the north end of McKean Rd (at the Challenger School) south and then do the loop around Chesbro and Uvas reservoirs (which is the bike course for the Morgan Hill Sprint Triathlon). Starting at the top end of McKean, it’s about 33 miles of back roads with no lights. It’s very scenic but a little rough in some areas and has a bit of elevation change.
