Has anyone done this? I currently have a rotor crank with 155mm arms which id prefer to use. I know rotor sells rings specifically for axs 2x but I wasn’t sure if the alignment of the chain would be off with just one chainring.
Alternatively, I wish sram, or any company just made a crank arm I could swap.
I wanted to bump this to the top- Anyone out there that has done this? I see Lucy Charles has done this but Rotor stated there 1x 12speed rings may or may not work.
Ultimately< i just want a shorter crank.
I have had it set up with 1X &2X
1X with Rotor inspider 48T and 10-36 with a Sram flat top chain
2x with Rotor inspider 48-35 with 10-33 with KMC 12 speed chain shifts fine with Rotor AXS chain ring.
** sram flat top chain does not work with Rotor AXS 2X chain rings
**FYI the new Argon 119 comes with Rotor crank and chain rings with KMC 12 speed chain.
I’ve been considering moving to a 1x Rotor setup for my 12-speed AXS Tarmac. Are you saying the Rotor cranks/INspider and 1x chainring will work with the flat top chain and 12-speed rear cassette? Or did you have to run a different 12-speed chain?
Rotor 1x will work with flat-top chains.
I actually have a Aldhu 24 for sale that came off of my gravel bike. It is pretty awesome and was used for “road” duty and “gravel” duty by switching the chainrings literally in minutes. The bike was a AXS Red bike.

I’ve been using a normal 11s Rotor QX1 chainring with a flat top AXS chain for around 4k miles without an issue. It’s on my Exploro so it’s seen a lot of gravel and jarring terrain without one chain drop
edit-My setup is a sram BB30 crank, removable 110BCD spider with a rotor QX1 40t ring mounted where the big ring would go. I run a 10-28 Force AXS cassette, RED AXS rear derailleur and flat top chain, it all works fine

Yes the flat top chain works fine with 1X , will not work with 2X rotor AXS chain rings.

Interesting, because Rotor’s website says the exact opposite!
