Rubber mallet. They can be a real PITA. My 3D+ cranks were very stubborn.
The rotor 3d just has a pinch bolt. Shouldn’t be hard. The 3d+ has a self extracting bolt set-up that’s also pretty easy, as long as you know what to do.
I realize that it has a pinch bolt.
The problem I’m having is that it’s “stuck” and I don’t have much leverage to remove the left side, as it’s not just sliding off as you’d expect.
First… It is a ‘3D’ crank, right? Not a ‘3D+’ or ‘3DF’
From my impression / experience, The 3D pinch bolt on the NDS crank work a little differently from a similar shimano set up. In particular, when you are backing out the screw, at some point, the screw starts to push against the two sides, widening the gap, and allowing the crank arm to come off freely. So, you have to back out the screw a little more than you’d think.
…I’m also assuming that after this process is done, that you’ve remove the 8mm retaining bolt on the outside of the NDS spindle.
