Wondering if anyone has seen any info on the Ron Wheels Twin spoke wheel?
On their Instagram they posted videos of their new cockpit solution and in the process showed off briefly a new unannounced ‘secret project’ front wheel - due to the shutter speed I can’t tell 100% if its dual or tri spoke. But very interesting!

That’s 100% a 2-spoke wheel, though hard to tell (for me at least) whether it’s a RON prototype, an existing 2-spoke wheel (M5, Falcon, Stiffi), or a different unannounced wheel. Actually, the Stiffi shape is pretty distinctive so it’s not that. I think most likely a RON prototype.
Nice find. It does look like the era of tri-spokes and two-spokes is returning, perhaps the wider forks and seat stays, due to disc brakes, is helping aerodynamics on the frame-wheel combo. Any insight on this?
I thought the same, but if you look at the background ‘shrubbery’ or whatever the hell it is, the angle definitely changes. If not, I sure as hell hope the material is resilient.
899€ for steel bearings / 989€ for ceramic bearings.
Surprised on the weight, a little heavier than their 90mm front spoked wheel - so not for the weightweeinies then.
They also have a carbon disk rotor to go with it, which is a very reasonable 50€ a piece, but on looking isn’t as quite polished as the carbon-ti carbon rotor (but these are 200€+) and it appears to me to be added to the side of the rotor, not actually replace the spider.
I’ve raced with the original Two Spoke for a while. I did test it in the tunnel and it didn’t do amazing, but I think it looks cool, so have stuck with it. I would like a tubeless wheel though . . . I’ve never heard of this company Ron wheels, are they well regarded?

From the bits I’ve had off them (their Aeron X disc and Aeron V8 front wheel. They are a good mix of quality, performance and price point. Very popular in the UK and around Europe it seems with a few podium winners on their wheels too.
I was looking at adding the 90mm rear V8 wheel to the front V8 I have for general use and then getting this new two spoke to go with the disc for racing. But at 990€ I’ve gone a bit cold on the idea as reading about other 2 spoke / 3 spoke wheels I’m not going to gain much performance over the 90mm.
They are based in Poland, making all their wheels locally. I have seen their wheels at some Ironman races I did recently. I got set of 60mm wheels with ceramic bearing from them for training and also their top disk wheel Aeron X. I used it in IM Texas and loved it. Those training wheels i got are also good performance not as smooth as 858 NSWs i use for racing but are fast. No regrets so far and btw customer service is good even though there is 7h time difference from CST. Usually next day reply
I preordered the Ultron front and await delivery.
Already have a Aeron V8 front and Aeron X disc - so ordered a AeronV8 rear with the Ultron to have a V8 set for riding and then the Ultron / AeronX for racing. Customer service response for me is slow thou, even in the same time zone… 2 weeks so far no responses to my messages
