Roka wetsuit (men's) sizing question

So I pulled the trigger on a Maverick Elite due to the sale (that and the fact that surely wetsuit technology has advanced in the 15 years since I bought my suit), and am 99% loving it. I am 6 feet on the nose, 189-190 pounds and trending downward in the weight department. I ordered a Medium Large per their chart (I’m on the tippy top end of it).

What I have found is that when I pull the suit all the way up into the crotch and arms, I’m a good couple/few inches short in the legs, and 1-1.5" short on the arms. Currently debating ordering a Medium Tall to see if that gets me some more length without adding any girth which I don’t need. Anyone else have a similar dilemma and care to share if a sizing correction solved it?

I’m 6’1" and have been between 165 and 175lbs as a Roka owner. I first got a S/T and then Roka sent me a M/T. Both suits seemed a bit short in both the arms and legs, but the shorter legs make it much easier to get out of. The arms are a bit short too - the sleeve stops just short of my watch. My wingspan is just over 6’3".

It it fits well elsewhere, all you’re giving up is a tiny bit of extra flotation (and I suppose a tiny bit of extra surface area on your limbs from which you’d derive a tiny bit more paddle-effect). Roka customer service can clarify whether the tall size has identical girth. And if you do order, you’re only out return shipping anyway.

What’s your inseam?

Hey There,
Congrats on your new suit. Shoot us a note at support@rokasports.com if you need to talk through sizing. We are happy to help. Please be sure to take the suit for a swim. That may help you determine if it is the right size. We do allow you to return or exchange a suit that has been in the water.
Best,
Jennifer

I’m 6’3" and 161 lbs (tall and skinny) and I just bought a Roka Maverick Elite, Medium Tall.

I haven’t swam in it yet, but after trying it on I’d say it is the best fit of any wetsuit I’ve worn. This is my 4th wetsuit, I’ve also trialled 2 others and tried on at least 5 others in store.

It could be longer in the legs and arms, but is actually better than all my other wetsuits in this regards. I’ve never seen this as a problem

Verdict is in: ML is the right one for me. Tried the MT out and for what it’s worth:

-1" longer in the arms (good)
-right about 2" longer in the ankles (good)
-WAAAAY more constricting in the arms, specifically the upper bicep area (bad, obviously)

Also just seemed more squeezed all around, couldn’t breathe properly like in the ML, and just generally did not feel comfortable, whereas the ML fit like it was made for me (albeit short in the arms and legs)
Oh, lastly, MT was significantly more difficult to get on and off. I’ll be happier with the ML in transition for sure, and allaround for that matter.
