Anyone tried the new Giro fit system? Impressions? I haven’t seen it avaliable in stores or online yet, but it looks like a significant departure from the system they’ve been using for years.
Received my Ionos with RL 5 about 2 weeks ago. For me, a massive improvement over the RL4 on my old Ionos. There’s more height adjustment, so I can get the RL side straps/stays a bit more away/above my Oakley arms - the RL4 used to sit right where I wanted the glasses to sit, so was always a bit too much pressure and movement. Also the side straps are much thinner/lighter so head feels bit less constricted. Finally, though I think the helmet shape and pads are unchanged, the overall helmet is much more comfortable for me. It’s my third Ionos, tried a Lazer in between, but this is the ‘one’.
Sure hope the front connections are better than that POS ones that were in the prior versions…however, I do own no less than six Giro with the crappy ones from before where the front “buttons” that connected just sorta broke (Atmos, Boreas, and others)
