Ritte 1919

I can’t find much on this bike, does anyone have any info or feedback on the quality of the bike? thanks.

They are pretty cool. Same quality as most bikes on the market and everyone raves about the looks. Very cool bike to own and you won’t be another Tri douche with the same brand as everyone else. The frame is usually not terribly expensive, too.

Ritte’s creme de la creme are their other, custom rides. I drool over those pretty frequently.

Kinda fun photo set!

It’s like most carbon frames: chinese made with the americans focusing on marketing trying to be cool.

Don’t know much about them other then they are made in asia somewhere off a base model with some mild tweaks here and there. I figured for the price and coolness factor I would take the plunge. Who knows how aero they are and will likely never be wind tunnel data. People seem to rave about the ride quality of the cross bikes though.

I actually had one on order since december of 2011. They were supposed to be released in january, then march, then april, then may. I finally cancelled my order. I still don’t know if you can get them. I spoke with the owner a couple of times and is a very nice guy. They are sort of at the mercy of the large asian production companies whom probably cater to the large volume bike brands, which Ritte is not.

Btw, you peaked my interest again. Maybe I will try to get one.

Do it! I want to see Ritte get bigger!!

what is it priced at. cant seem to find any pricing information on this at all

One of the coolest paint schemes I’ve ever seen on a bike, but aside from that, looks like pretty standard chinese fare. But hey, as someone else pointed out, you won’t look like a typical “tri douche” (meaning someone who actually bought a Cervelo or a Shiv or something that’s actually been to a tunnel and been proven to have actual aero benefits … someone who is more concerned with the performance of their equipment than they are if someone thinks they’re a tri douche or not).

Depending on what it is (and my google-fu is weak today) its entirely possible that the 1919 is being made by Russ Denny out of SoCal.

You know… the dude trained at Fuso way back when. Russ is the real deal. VERY skilled builder.

If its not being made by Russ, well, its probably an open mold frame with fancy paint and a great marketing scheme behind it.

I’ve got one of these frames sitting in my que, ready to get built. I’m sorry to say that I believe they aren’t making the 1919 this year.

If the 1919 is anything like my Bosberg, then it will be a sad thing that they aren’t producing it anymore. Sick paint jobs on all of their bikes, and from my experience, a great overall product no matter what molds they came from. Their stainless work is ridiculous as well.

The guys over there have a great thing going, and do things the right way the first time. They don’t have the r & d budgets of the giants in the industry (no pun intended), but the carbon frames are now their own molds from what I understand. I’m not sure why buying a frame from a company that outsources their carbon manufacturing to Asia is a bad thing. Most of the big boys do it too.

Can’t wait to ride this thing… It’s a nude carbon version, so I don’t have the flash of the paint, but it will dress to impress regardless.

As you were. Evidently is crabon. (My google-fu is better after dinner evidently)

…but if you get one of the stainless bikes? That’ll be Russ Denny.
