http://www.ridley-bikes.com/...triathlon-tt/CHEETAH (this is the 2011 version w/105… but give idea of frame/geometry etc)
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/...&PRODUCT.ID=8040 (2010 version w/rival for $999!!)
seems like a pretty good deal for an entry level tri bike… hard to beat in fact based on my research… what am i missing?
Are you x-small or xx-small? Seems like this is a closeout deal to clear out those sizes.
check FUJI or FOCUS at performance. they might have better or similar deals plus 20% store credit when you buy a bike and is a team member ($30).
like this : http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1088338_-1___
i’ve seen it, looks nice. but again, limited sizes

so at 1200, 20% = $240… making it technically 960, but i’d have to spend that extra.
i have gear and a road bike, so i actually don’t know what i’d spend that on.
plus, i think Rival >> 105.
You can spend your Performance money on nutrition. Rival > 105 may be a bigger problem.
105 is a very nice set up. i prefer shimano although got sram red now.
you can always spend the $$$ at the shop lol

nutrition: good point.
functionally, i see little difference between rival and 105… both are great. its a personal preference thing i guess.
consider that at $1000 your roadbike with aerobars and aero wheels would probably be a better bet (if roadbike is nice)
.
I ride on a Ridley Orion and love the bike. For what it’s worth I think the bike is very responsive and handles nicely. I have an Sworks transition TT for my tri bike and find myself riding the ridley more and more for training rides… it’s just that comfortable.
