Riding in Brant Lake/Lake George NY?

Staying at a lodge next Sunday through Wednesday (sunset mountain lodge?) right on Route 8. Is route 8 or route 9N ride-able (they seem to be the nearest roads)? Any ideas? Can I get down to Lake George and is there any good riding (my main concern is room on the shoulder/not getting buzzed by semi’s the whole tiem etc.)

Any heko would be greatly appreciated…

You should be fine on 8 and 9N. My friends and I bike from LG to Ticonderoga on 9N and it is fine. Not as familiar with the shoulders along 8 but it is not as busy as 9N so you should be fine there as well.
