I’m considering going to Maine in the end of August to do the race and I wonder if someone already did it and/or have opinion/comments about this race?

Color me biased as a member of Team Rev3…
…but this was one of my favorite events of the year. The swim last year was at slack tide, as well as with the current. You had great landmarks to sight off of. Bit of a long run from the beach up to transition, but everyone had to deal with it. No biggie.
Bike course is rolling. Not as hilly as Quassy, but not pancake flat, either. Pretty fast course.
Run is out and back along the Eastern Trail. It got warm, but not as bad as some other events…I overbiked by a LOT and paid dearly on the run.
Lots of stuff for the family to do right there, if wanted.
Post-race lobster bake! Doesn’t get much better than that. Hopefully see you there!

It didn’t sell out last year. That said, I’d probably register no later than about a month out…just to be sure.
