Does anyone know if there are resorts on par with The Mirror Lake Inn (Lake Placid) in Penicton, CA. I want to take the wife and kids in 2006. My wife is a hotel snob… 
Apex Ski resort is the closest to Penticton. Fantastic place about 30 mins away. It was kind of quiet and relaxing when I was there during race week.

Just stay at the race hotel. I think it is the Penticton Lakeside Resort, right at the start. She won’t complain about that. If she does, get a new wife.
On the way back from IMC last year, my wife and I stopped at the Chateau Lake Louise for a night. It’s in an amazing area. It’s 2/3 of the way from Penticton to Calgary.
