Replacing Belly Pan on Treadmill

Does anyone have any experience with this? It’s a plastic tray underneath the motor and circuit board.

I replaced mine yesterday as it was cracked in two spots. What a b#tch!!! I had to disconnect and remove the power cord, power switch, ground cables, and other support pieces only to realize the main bolts connecting the motor and circuit board to the deck had to be removed so the deck could be separated. This allowed for the plastic pan to be placed underneath.

Watching the NFL Draft this weekend is fitting as I feel like I played in a football game yesterday. My legs are totally shot from all the bending and lifting. I even had a friend come by to help lift and reattach the deck while the pan was slid underneath. Ugh…

I would just buy a new treadmill if it were any <$2000 new. In this price range, by the time something like that breaks, you’re likely going to have other part failures in the next year or two - and of course, likely before some critical training period right in the middle of your TM rampup.

For the pricier TMs, I would call a service repair guy to do it and eat the cost - for TMs in that range, the other parts will likely last longer.

But year, that sounds seriously painful and annoying to do!
