The right carbon fiber “cup” that the arm pad velcroes to has apparently cracked. There is a tremendous amount of give to it. I checked everything to ensure tightness and it is definitely a cup failure.
Replacement cups from Hed are 110.00. I’d rather not go that route if they are just going to fail in a year.
Has anyone experimented with different aero bar setups on their he’d aerobars? Profile design makes a replacement kit that looks like it might work.
Any ideas/suggestions? Need a fix pronto. Doing Ironman Florida in a couple of weeks and don’t want to risk a total failure.
