My favourite training shoe in recent years has been the Pegasus Turbo and Turbo 2, but they stopped selling it in Australia a few years ago. Since then I’ve trained in a variety of shoes, but struggled tio dins shoes that I liked. I bought the new Noosa 13s back in May and they’ve been great, much lighter and better than the previous Noosas which were crap to run in. They’re now done and I’ve just bought some Magic Speeds. They do have a carbon plate, but only at the forefront and, to me, run quite similar to the Pegasus Turbo. I guess a cross between a race shoe and a daily trainer with a reasonable amount of cushioning. I ran 18km the other day and they were pretty good, a little bit of muscle soreness the next day, which I wouldn’t have had with the Noosas, but nothing too bad. I will probably end up using them for intervals, tempo runs etc and get a new pair of Noosas for longer runs. The new Noosas are definitely worth a look, I was pretty wary as the older models had a bad rap, but all the shoe reviewers I watched on YT gave them pretty good reviews.
Peg turbos we’re my favorite too and the new balance rebel v2 is the closest thing and may even (for me) be better than the turbo. Also a way better price point and has some great color options!

Yeah I bought some 37s after the Turbo and ran in them 3 or 4 times. Horrible shoe.

Honestly, try the 38s on if you can. To me, they feel pretty close to the Turbos which lots of soace in the toebox
Get on ebay. I watched for a few months waiting for a good price and bought up a few years supply of Pegasus Turbo II’s and Vaporfly 4%'s. Racing and training covered until something I find comparable arrives… I still can’t believe they stopped making the Pegasus Turbo it is by far my favourite training shoe ever!

I really like the Propel as a Pegasus replacement and it’s even cheaper. Interested to try v2 of that shoe as well.

How do they size compared to the Peg Turbo 2? i.e., any way to guess what UK9.5 in Peg T2 woud be in the rebel v2?
I loved the peg turbo as well. Was just thinking about this the other day whole running in the zoomx invincible, how much it reminded me of the peg turbo. The shape is different but the zoomx feel is similar to me without the carbon plate. Give it a try for everyday use and some tempo stuff.
