Ive got a couple of old Garmin 920XTs that still work and have good battery life. Both have busted bands.
Any recommendations for replacement bands?
Id prefer not to go with the same style band from Garmin as it seems it has the same issues as the ones that cam with the watch. The random eBay and Amazon bands seem to be questionable at best.
The random amazon silcone bands I got for our 920xts are actually pretty decent. They are a bit more prone to tearing compared to the original but considering you can almost get 3 for the price of one original replacement, I think that’s the route to go. The material on ones like these are definitely softer and more comfortable for me.
I’d second Ben. I’ve purchased several of the off-brand ones from Amazon for both myself and my wife. Quality not quite up to original, but they often come in packs. I had to replace one for my 735XT and the band on my 935 is nearly ripping in the spot I most commonly use. Probably time to spend a few bucks on a new strap.
I purchased a new band for my 920XT in September from ‘gpscity.com’ they are located in Calgary Alberta.
My friend purchased these two and said they are better and stronger than the original. After mine broke, I purchased from the same link and love it.
