So, probably after overdoing squats & leg press in the gym, for the past month of so, I have felt pain (bearable, but annoying) in the front of the my right hip and down into the front thigh muscles (upper quads?)
I see that the Hip Flexor is the likely culprit here. I feel it´s almost like a imflammatory pain, rather than just soreness and the pain comes at each impact while running. Nothing post-run and it gets a bit better when I have been getting warm, after running 2-3km.
I have been using NSAIDs and done hip flexor stretches (plus any other possible hip / thigh stretches) for weeks now, and the pain is still there and inhabilitating any run above 7-8km at Z1/Z2
I am going to my physio, but only end of next week, and this is getting annoying
So any advice on how to get faster over this is appreciated?
Roll them
Ice/heat
Fixed my pain
I would also not be using the NSAIDs
Thanks - you mean like foam roller??
Why not NSAIDs ?
Yes that is what helped me
Foam roller on the front of the leg up by the groin
Hard to describe
I just laid on top of the roller and went from approximately mid thigh to lower abs. One side at a time.
I try not to take much medication just in case it ends up not being good for us
But I do treat myself to one Tylenol every couple of months. Just to know what it is like to live pain free if just for one day lol
Best of luck with your rehab.
Haha. Thanks @MrTri123
I kinda think my junk will come in the way, but will give it a go with 911 on speed dial.
lol you don’t roll your package.
Just to the right/ for the right leg/front of the hip. Opposite for the left leg hip
I MADE IT! And it initially had a good effect. Thanks again @MrTri123
