And yes, once this law is in place, Slowman needs to be referred to the tribunal for a determination.
I like the concept. But the reality is that it will be very very rare for it to work. Red flags are always much easier to see in hindsight.
It’s a galactically stupid idea, but one that is perfect for a Country that makes us take our shoes off at airports, publicly humiliated Kavanaugh with zero proof, and accepted the Mueller report’s “non-exoneration” of Trump as sound legal practice.
Due process is dead in many respects in this Country. Why stop here.

now I know this has nothing to do with Trump and white supremacy so it’s probably irrelevant for the rash of 30 and under mass shootings.

That article resonates with me relating to one guy I watched grow up; he's turned out okay, but a hard road and still suffers. I'm all for marijuana legalization, but should mean that we stand back and take a look at all that we know and create guidelines accordingly. Not happening, and another way in which our lawmakers at the national level are proving worthless.
As I posted elsewhere, red flag legislation in the US congress is just a way for them to appear to do something while pushing the issue back to the states so that the national pols can avoid making a stand that might lose a vote. I tend to like more decisions back at state level, but with each issue, even that needs to be considered as it relates to effectiveness.

need “permits” to purchase pot legally… then you are automatically on the “reg flag” list…
