Recovery Compression Tight Recommendation Sought here

Got a set of Swiftwick over the calf compression socks which I love. Looking to supplement them with a set of compression tights for driving to and from events and for post-work out recovery.

Unfortunately there are a lot of crap products out there in the compression field. Willing to spend for a good quality product. Any tips on the sizing for that product would be great as well.

BTW- two thumbs up on the Swiftwick stuff. Wish they made tights. . . .

im a big fan of zoot compression. check out their web site.

So are you talking about the zoot compressrx recovery tights?

I really like the Swiftwick stuff too. Great quality stuff and it just fits.

For compression wear I highly recommend, based on my personal experience, Skins (for tights) or CEP (for socks).

You wear recovery compression gear to drive to a race?

+1 on zoot compression tights. It’s extremely well made. I’ve been really tough on them. I use my massage stick and trigger point roller while wearing them, and it’s still holding up really well. Highly recommended.

Try Compressport Full-Leg
.

I have a pair of the SLS3 recovery tights. These are TIGHT! Tighter than my 2XU running compression tights, even though my weight is near the lower part of its suggested weight range for my size. But, they still quite comfortable, just that you’ll KNOW you’re wearing them, and therefore they must be working quite nicely:) The fabric also appears to be very durable. For me, that’s exactly what I wanted.

CEP Clone Recovery tights will be available very shortly. These will be custom made to order for you. Super cool and worth every penny

Try Compressport Full-Leg
I will second that!

Have heard good things about the Zoot tights but never tried them. really like their sleeves though. big fan of CEP socks and their new clone tights should be high quality. i actually just got (and am wearing) a pair of skins ry400 recovery tights. so far they’re really nice.

I have a pair of zoot tights and full leg compress port tights. The full leg tights are more comfortable than the zoot tights. I would highly recommend the compress port products. The hardest thing was getting them. I ordered mine from Australia and it took over a month to get them. I suspect the Canadian supplier would be a lot quicker.

Jie thanks for your kind words. If you are looking for a good compression tight make sure they are seamless. This is perfect to control the compression. If you get one that uses fabric from a roll (looks like a regular piece of fabric) you won`t get the amount of compression you are looking for.

No problem, any good product deserves mentioning. I also have the SLS3 compression socks, and these also have noticeably more compression than the CEP socks I own (the CEPs are nice too). I do have one gripe about the socks though - there is not enough room in the toe/forefoot area, and as a result the skin under my feet are forced to wrinkle up and I get blisters repeatedly from wearing those socks. I also wish that during packaging they wouldn’t put that plastic thingy (for attaching tags) through the socks’ fabric as it creates a hole that will later become wider and/or develop a run. Overall, I think SLS3 has the best compression gear that perform as adverstised.

what is the color of your toe box - red or gray?

The new CEP Clone recovery compression tights are available in either thigh high or full length to the waist. They are completely custom made with an endless amount of measurements taken. Very nice indeed.

2XU calf compression while time trialling and full tights for recovery.

I had to drive 5.5 hours home after my marathon. I slipped on those Zoot CompresRX tights and drove home with my yoga pants on over them and ran 4 miles the next day without any pain.
They will be in my recovery arsenal if I have anything to say about it, that is for sure!

I wore my skins in an offroad running race, which involved crawling on hands and knees for half an hour in extremely dense bush, swimming across a stream and let alone running/walking for 10hrs. Not a tear. Wore them last night after my 22k run. Love them, been using Skins for 6 years (hate to think how many different pairs I have owned over the years). The new 400 fit is a huge improvement as well.

I prefer Zoot
