Recommendations for jogging stroller

although I am looking for one to carry our 14 1/2 year old Sheltie (who had a front leg amputated about 6 years ago). I am looking for any recommendations from people who may have used a pet stroller to jog with, or have a baby stroller they believe could be modified with a hard seating area for a 16 pound dog to lay on.

Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

Thanks,

I have one. Its trailer/jogger that I bought from COSTCO. It’s ok to run with on the road, but i wouldnt take it off road. it also hooks up to the chain stay on the bike to pull the kiddies around, or in your case the doggy! Not sure if COSTCO sales those anymore. I am down in the SD area. I would be willing to deal with ya! Whatcha got?

Do a “Search Posts” for “stroller.”
.

Although I have not used mine for a pet, I have both a single Bob Ironman model and a double Chariot. Depending on the size of the dog you may consider a double stroller.

As far as modifications go, I think either one would be adaptable for some sort of platform rig.

The Bob is great. Shocks seem to really help the ride and it is very stable and steers very straight when the tires are properly inflated. You would need to get pretty tricky with a platform to take advantage of the shocks (from memory as the stroller is not in front of me).

The Chariot is better. It is lighter (even though I have a double, it feels lighter), more mobile, convertable and just friggin cool that you can attach skis to it. Not that I will be a rickshaw driver in the snow (ever), but I like the fact that I could.

The ski attachment kit is really great. Last winter, I would tow my (then) 10 mth old son around the Nordic Centers in one. He loved it, and it was a great workout for me. I skated only but we saw several classic skiers towing their kids in the Chariot.

Yeah, we bought the Bob Ironman and sold it after 3 months and got the Bob Revolution. If you can modify it to add a platform, I’d recommend the Revolution. www.tinyride.com has a great selection with free shipping.
The Revolution has a pivoting front wheel which was why we switched. Makes it WAY easier to maneuver when you’re not actually jogging, but the front wheel locks when you DO want to jog.
