Recommend me a headlamp for running

Days getting short here in Oz as we head into winter - can anyone recommend a running headlamp?
Thanks

Black Diamond Sprinter…it has 3 levels of brightness up front (from ‘i cant see s***’ to 'blind that a-hole who turned his brights on as soon as he saw me). It also has a nifty blinking red LED on the back for drivers going the wrong way. Comfort-wise, I’ve worn mine for up to 10 miles without any issues, but I havent really tried any other headlamps. The best thing about it is it is rechargeable… because batteries get expensive

Petzl Myo RXP (not XP). I use this for trail running at night so plenty bright enough. Great thing. Regardless of what you get, make sure the light is regulated. This means that the light uses maintains it’s brightness as it drains the batteries (the Myo RXP is the regulated version of the Myo XP). Lights that are not regulated will dim as they drain the batteries. Also be sure to buy a set of rechargable batteries and a charger of some description.

Heaps of info on the Candlepower forums BTW.

I have found that I like holding my headlamp(s) in my hands when I run much more than wearing then as headbands. Its actually not bad at all to have a relatively cheap one form Walmart in each hand. David K

x2 on everything he said. I have the Petzl headlamp, as well as a much weaker headlamp and I never use the other one anymore, because I can simply see everything with the Petzl. It does eat batteries fairly quickly, so rechargeable’s are a must.
