Recommend comfortable arm rests/pad

I have a Felt B16 with stock aerobars and find the arm rest/pads are not comfortable.
I have swapped them out for the Profile Design F19 pads from my old Airstryke bars.
My arms arm still uncomfortable when riding. I have gotten a proper bike fit. Pressure is toward the back edge as well as the outside forearms of both arm pads.
They are very adjustable and I am changing things during my rides but just can’t get comfortable.
Can someone recommend other arm rest/pads.
How are the F22, F35 pads? or just replace the actual F19 pads and see how that feels? 3T, Zipp?
Thanks

I ride stock B16 aerobars too and upgraded to Cee Gees about a year ago and love them. http://www.ceegees.com

They have ones that fit perfectly, and are much more comfortable then the stock pads which as POS IMHO.

Here is the specific link: https://www.ceegees.com/product/?product_id=236

Edit: Also they are a little thicker then the stock pads so you may have to adjust the bars a bit once you get them, but well worth it.

Cee Gees.

I have a B16 and had the same issue. The arm pads are horrible. I recommend using Cee Gees. I have had them for over 2 years and they hold up like new.

Another CeeGee’s vote

I have some pics on my blog of how thick they are so as others mentioned it can make a difference on your fit. My wrist are slightly cocked because I fitted with the thinner pad, but I am still comfortable enough without making any further adjustments. Swapping the stock pads for Cushy’s was a really good purchase for the comfort and the stock pads were very slick when wet.

I also have the F19 and find the pad bottomed out along the outside edge where it flips up a bit. I might try the CeeGee pads but I’m wondering if there are any arm rests that could but fit in place?

I like the feel of the Zipp but don’t want to swap out the extensions.

I have been having the same problem. I was debating about ordering the Cee Gees but just pulled the trigger after seeing this and another thread with recommendations to buy them. I am hoping the new pads do the trick.

Thanks for all of the replys. It seems CeeGee’s is the way to go, if I am still going to use the original arm rest. I’ll pick up a pair. Do I need to buy velcro as well? But, could anyone recommend other arm rests rather than just pad replacement? Also, I never rode when the gel pads were wet and after reading that blog wouldnt want to.

Before I purchased the Cushy’s I read someone saying save your money on their velcro and I should have listened. I thoroughly cleaned the surface before tying CeeGee’s velcro and it peeled up easily. I went to w-mart and bought some heavy duty velcro that was in a roll and cut to fit the entire pad surface. The one purchased from CeeGee’s was not enough to cover and the self-adhesive was not very good.

Hindsight I wished I had saved my money and just went to the local department store for the velcro. It wasn’t any cheaper, but being that I had to buy it twice to get it done right was a little frustrating.

I had the Felt B14 and now the DA and have Cee Gee’s on both. Definitely the way to go. On the B14 the stock pads were very slippery when wet.

So I got the CeeGees pads. I am using the F19 pads now so here’s my review of those: the Velcro it comes with sucks. I purchased a thick heavy duty Velcro from the hardware store and cut that to size and stuck it to the arm rest. That didn’t stick good. This was evident as I was running with the bike out of T1 and the arm pad Velcro and all went flying off. I did the sprint without a pad. Not comfortable but only a short time on the bike. I decided to zip tie the Velcro to the arm rest which appears to be working well. The zip tie goes through the Velcro and through the holes for screws not in use. The actual Velcro holds the pad secure. The zip ties hold the Velcro to the rests. The pads are very comfortable but thick so I have to adjust the height of the rests a bit.
I will try the B16 pads soon.

I have the Felt B16 stock arm rest and the velcro that comes on the arm rest have worked great with the CeeGee pads. The pads have not moved since and even in the rain have held up. My only complaint is the pads are just slightly smaller than the arm rest leaving a little bit of the metal edge showing.

Yes the F19 pads are smaller than the rest as well, and they are not quite the precise shape…
