I need a bathroom scale that’s accurate.
My criteria:
- around $50
- don’t care about body fat measurements
- don’t want a glass one
- don’t want solar (I store my current one under the sink and it’s dark down there)
I need a bathroom scale that’s accurate.
My criteria:
I’m not sure if this helps but I’ve got a Weight Watchers scale that was maybe $25-30 or so. It seems to be quite accurate and reads in 0.2 lb increments. It is claimed to have a battery that will last for the life of the scale which is good. You tap on the scale with your foot to turn it on, wait until the display reads “0.0” and then you step on. Works well for me.
Buy a Tanita. I have one that has body fat % on it, so it’s probably more than what you want (I never use that feature, though). I’ve found it to be very accurate and I think all Tanitas are known to be pretty good.
I’ve got an electronic one I’ll sell you for cheap. I don’t really use it so I could send for the cost of shipping or something.

Plus, Tanita sponsors Ironman, so they are supporting our sport!
