I’ve started to design a rear storage box for the Canyon Speedmax CF SLX. I found a small CF SLX being worked on at my local bike shop the other day and was able to get measurements off of it. And today, I ran into someone who happens to live down the street from me riding a large SLX. He’s wanting to get a box for his bike.
I’m looking for others in the San Francisco bay area with Canyon CF in various sizes, including women’s sizes to test fit a box on. I’m curious to see if the seat tube profile and rear profile around the seat tube are the same between the CF and CF SLX. I will be test fitting the first prototype tomorrow on the bike at the bike shop. Fingers crossed I have it close on the first try. Bonus if you are in Marin county or San Francisco.

What size CF do you have? I found someone with a large which I am hoping to do a test fit on today.

I’m curious how you are going to work around the OEM flat repair storage access on the top tube. Are your boxes able to slide up the seat tube after they’ve been tightened?

That’s is indeed a problem I need to work out. My boxes can’t be moved once they’ve been tightened on. However, I think that maybe because the rear box has a higher capacity, you might not need to store anything in that front storage access.
I’ve got an idea or two on how to get it to work, but requires I design a new cap for that storage area.

Good point about the existing storage. I’ve been asked by a few people about a rear box for the slx. Maybe they need additional storage for long distance rides. I have 2 clients that do double centuries and although their bikes, pinarello bolide and bmc tm01 already have some integrated storage already, they need more.
Another potential client has the slx large and finds the storage insufficient.
