I bought the hero 3+ silver for $219. Its good enough for me.
I would record all the gnarly downhills and epic climbs of Wellington. Nothing better than going up or down a hill… with a GoPro Hero4 camera.
Perhaps a Xiaomi Yi for around $80 would do the job? Xiaomi is a legit company selling about 75 million phones in 2015.
Waterproof cases etc. come extra though.

I wish I had a GoPro hero4 camera so I could strap it to my dog, and I could share a dogs eye view of the world. Did you hear that Slowman, I would let my dog use it! You love dogs, so I hear. Not that I’m trying to influence the giveaway in any shape or form, but just so you know, my dog is awesome and you’d get lots of squirrel chasing action. But I repeat, I’m most definitely not trying to influence the giveaway.
I bought this cheap knockoff from groupon and it looks just as good as my Hero4. I bought it for the accessories which are a complete match of the Hero. I was very surprised by the quality of the videos.
My company gave me one for hitting my numbers. It sits in a drawer.

I have a go pro and I’ve used it to record a ton of stuff (skiing with the kids, MTBing, etc. etc.). Now my iMac is filled with video and need a new iMac.
