“I put the DermaSwim on before I go to the shower. I only make a quick pass though the shower on my way to the pool. The DermaSwim won’t wash off in the shower. After a 30-45 minute swim, it seems like a lot of it is still there.”
Yuck,
That is as bad as putting on sunscreen directly before getting into the pool.
I am sure you know that what you and others do will result in the pool increasing the chlorine levels even more to make up for the “contamination”.
So your gain is zero and you only make everybody else suffer more.
Compared to that I am happy about the guy who just runs 3 miles to Masters and jumps in without rinsing off.
That is comparable hygienic to what some people do before they get in.
“It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again”
My 2 cents is that for the first time in my life I had the itchy dry skin after swimming this winter. Maybe it was just a bad winter this year. First time in my life that I’m looking forward to some humidity.

Gald I am not swimming with you.
You obviously are not familiar with what DermaSwim is and how it works.
