Hi everyone,
I’m relatively new to this site, but not new to road cycling – I hope to be posting often. I put food on the table here in the great white north by teaching and certifying personal trainers, along with being a product developer – the latter being the reason that brings me to this post today. As an avid cyclist, I’ve been advocating to make cycling safer for many years. In doing so, I have developed a new cycling safety accessory that increases bicycle safety and enjoyment, by helping eliminate rear blind spots while riding (regardless of the rider’s height position, i.e., upright, to full aero’s etc.). In third party analysis, this beat the competition in head-to-head testing. BTW, the selling price is targeted at between $49.95 & $69.95 U.S., with an attractive margin.
I’m quite far along in the development cycle and now seek individuals/ company that might be interested to work with me to bring it to market. If you have some time, it would be great to chat with you about the opportunity. Here’s a brief overview: • Three years in development with Queen’s University, securing IP • Fully functional advanced prototype and successful beta tests • Comprehensive CAD drawings • Identified a low-cost manufacturer using additive 3D resin printing in the U.S. (no mold costs so much lower risk) • production quality samples recently provided • Extensive market research, including cycling surveys; Sell Sheet; PPT Deck; • Finished crowdfunding/ installation videos (neither yet implemented, awaiting to partner with someone to use these) • Developed website (lacking ecommerce aspect) • Interest from a traditional cycling accessory distributor for North America. Despite interest from the brick & mortar customers, I see this as mostly an ecommerce play (something that I have very little experience with).
Although I’ve successfully brought products to market in the past, I’m now looking to work with a partner (& willing to give up a substantial share of the opportunity in return).
If interested to learn more about this, please direct message me. Looking forward to hearing from people!
Cheers,
Mike
