Rapp's Specialized Shiv and more

I just watched the ST video of Jordan giving a tour of his 2011 Shiv. Curious, where does he put his spare tire and air?

More and more ppl are running bottles up front, and removing stuff from the rear of the saddle. What are they doing with the spare tires, which with tubulars is no small package?

I saw a lot of horizontal bottles off the rear of the saddle in IMH. It was hard to tell but I imagine the spare air and tubulars (or tubes) are tucked in there somewhere as well.

Thoughts?

Got a link to the video?

Here you go.

It will be interesting to see how that fit works out on the new bike.

Thoughts?

a) good question
b) rappstar has such a nice setup (other than the missing tube and air)
and
c) i don’t care how much more comfortable it is, the new Shiv Tri looks like crap compared to the Shiv TT. if i had the coin i would go for the latter over the former any day.

I believe rapp tucks his up tightly under the seat.

lieto’s spare kit is int he bottle on his frame.

Very small pedros blowout bag for air/etc. behind saddle. Tufo S3 spare (they roll up the smallest) tucked underneath the saddle.

Thanks. I appreciate it.
I looked around for a stainless bolt set, but haven’t found one yet.

Jordan, do you have a photo of the set up?

“Tufo S3…”

I think you just caused a major rift in the Slowtitch space-tire continuum!

It’s only an issue if he actually had to use it. It’s not illegal to own Tufo’s, just don’t race on them. The Crr dudes will rip you a new one.

Curious if you are going to reconsider the down tube bottle and move to a rear system after the Crevelo test data.
