Rant: who the &*%! steals used jammers (even nice Roka ones)?

I don’t even use ROKA anything–but I have to say, this is pretty “stand up” (well played Roka!).

Ya, … most companies only want to cover their own ass …

PSA… Ironman.com has Roka jammers (and plumsmugglers) for $18 right now.

Sadly even the listed sizes seem to mostly be out of stock. Some larger-waisted suits still available for the bigger guys, though.

Agreed, Roka really goes above and beyond in its customer service. Combined with top-notch design, construction, and materials, that means I recommend them to friends regularly. At full price much of the stuff is out of my budget, but if you’re patient sales come around sporadically.

hey Niccolo,

sorry about your suit - that sucks! please email me at rob@roka.com and we’ll sort you out.

happy new year

best,
rob

And I will continue to buy more and more Roka stuff. Very cool!

Back in the Navy, people would regularly steal anything not bolted down (and even then, there were tales of people stealing bigger shit using cutting torches, but I digress…); this would include your tighty whities (i’m a boxer guy, but back then you got your regulation-issued shit and you liked it) ~ even those that were, uh, no longer all white but had since been adorned w/ ‘racing stripes’ during prior use. AND THEY EVEN HAD YOUR FUCKING NAME STENCILED ON THEM.

Conclusion: guys will just steal shit purely for sport, regardless of whether it holds any value to them (or anyone else who might help fence it)

Just ranting…accidentally left my Roka jammers hanging on a hook in the locker room after a swim, realized my mistake 20 minutes later, already gone and none of the staff had collected them. Seriously, who nabs a used swimsuit for themselves?!? They’re fairly distinctive visually, so I’m kind of expecting an interesting conversation by the pool one of these days. Anyway, thanks for letting me rant…

It could be someone grabbed them thinking they were their’s by mistake. If so, hopefully they’ll pop up in lost & found.

Otherwise, if I saw someone wearing what I knew were my jammers at the pool first I wouldn’t want them back. Second, I’d pull them aside and quietly suggest they get some discrete lab tests, all the while scratching myself.

Someone stole my bra out of my adults only locker room at the Y once. Why? Never showed up. I locked my locker while I swam, unlocked it while I took my shower and when I came back it was gone…hmmm

Some people collect stamps, others women’s underwear. We all need a hobby.

Bright green waistband stripe makes these super distinctive, I rather doubt someone grabbed them by mistake. I’ve never seen Roka jammers at my pool (which is a bit surprising, lots of my swim buddies use Roka wetsuits), much less the unusually colored dark blue with bright green stripe ones I had. I do hope I see the person one of these days…

Perhaps just an overzealous Seahawks fan looking for something to spice up his playoff game ensemble…

…or a random F-You from a Lions guy who surmised the owner to be a Seahawks fanboy?

yep, sometimes thieves just steal anything, need only an opportunity…
had a house break in once, they stole not only my underwear but my dirty underwear and other dirty laundry, as well as half a chocolate cake my mother had baked…
he was pretty dumb though, got caught driving out of town in a stolen pickup full of stolen goods. Went down to the police to find my stuff in the heaps, there were a number of plastic shopping bags full of weed, waiting for someone dumb enough to claim them… ha.

Interesting that this is back on the front page as somebody walked off with my kid’s bright orange trunks tonight.

He was showering up and I took his clearly kid sized trunks to the suit dryer. After I dried them I needed to pee so I put them on a little shelf near the coat rack by the bathroom area. I peed, walked the 15 feet back to the shelf area and they were gone.

That shelf is too high for a child my son’s age to reach, or even see what was on it so seems it had to be an adult. which is perplexing as I can’t imagine how an adult would mistake those for his suit or what kind of bunghole would knowingly steal. a child’s swimsuit. Really bizarre.
